Sphereless arose from the image of a cube squeezed by a tight waist-belt. Its surface is composed of six smooth four-edged regions, which meet as do the faces of a cube. The four concave hemispherical regions were created by excavating portions of four spheres. The slender waist of the piece disguises well the cubic shape of the original stone.
