Here is an egg with an elliptical portal. Upon viewing this sculpture, several people have experienced vertigo or detected apparent motion of the elliptical opening. So it appears the portal led them somewhere. This marble is from a quarry near Gold Hill, Oregon, which has operated at times to produce landscaping paver blocks.
